James and the Giant Peach is a 1996 adventure film based on the Roald Dahl book of the same name.


A young boy named James finds a giant peach outside of his rundown house and befriends insects.

Why It's Better Than Alice In Wonderland (2010)

  1. Although it has a Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it's not talked about as much as the 2010 Alice In Wonderland film.
  2. The special effects are all primarily practical with little to no CGI.
  3. The characters are likable.
  4. The film follows faithfully on the source material, but with slightly little changes.
  5. Jack Skellington has a cameo appearance as the skeleton pirate.
